Things have been going really good both at school, work and at home – considering our whole household is trading colds. I just got a 6 week extension on my contract at Khan Academy, despite my struggle to keep up, my grades at school are good, and I’ve been getting better at making time for my wife and son in the evening.
First week of my new course at UoPeople and wow, has the course load changed! I’m really glad I’m sticking to just one course per term now, because there is just so much to learn in CS1103 that I’d hate to not be able to take it all in.
This week, has been another busy week, however having my son back at the babysitters has made things a lot easier, and has given me the energy to get extra things done at night after he goes to bed. I’ve been able to stay caught up in school and get back to working on some of my other endeavors.
Tomorrow is going to be the first day of Term 5 in 2014-5 at University of The People (my second term). To help get a head start and mitigate some stress, I’m going to take some preliminary efforts and start preparing myself today.
I’ve gotten my grades back for my finals, and my grades couldn’t have been better! So, as promised I’ll share a little bit of my study, and preparation process for anyone interested in improving their grade.
This past weekend I completed both of my final exams for my first term at UoPeople! I can’t believe how fast 9 weeks flew by! Today I’d like to recap on my experiences.
It’s Thursday morning, which means assignments for unit 7 at UoPeople are up today. In the past 6 weeks I’ve started developing a routine for limiting the amount of time I spend on school each week. The system may not be perfect, and I’m sure with time it will continue to improve, but I’d still like to share my process.
